Volunteer Requirements

Minimum Age

18+ for most roles, 21+ for crisis support

Time Commitment

6 months minimum, 4-6 hours per week

Training

LGBTQ2S+ cultural competency and anti-oppression training, 20-25 hours

Police Check

Required with vulnerable sector screening; organization covers cost

ID Requirements

2 pieces of government photo ID, confidentiality agreement

Family Volunteering

Welcome for community events and Pride celebrations

Peer Support Facilitator

Lead support groups for LGBTQ2S+ individuals and families.

Evenings and weekends, 2-3 hour sessions
