2 months minimum, 3 hours per week
Food safety and warehouse orientation, 1-2 sessions
Required for regular volunteers; $30 fee
1 piece of government photo ID
Encouraged for ages 8+; family-friendly shifts available
Online registration → orientation → shift assignment
High during holidays — book shifts in advance
Help pack emergency food hampers for families in need.
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturdays 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Minimum 3 hours per month
Ability to lift 20 lbs, comfortable standing for extended periods
Support community garden programs that provide fresh produce.
Spring-Fall, weekdays and weekends, flexible hours
Minimum 4 hours per week during growing season
Gardening experience preferred, passion for sustainable food systems
Help distribute food at mobile market locations throughout Calgary.
Various weekday and weekend schedules
Minimum 4 hours per month
Valid driver's license preferred, ability to work outdoors
Assist with cooking classes and nutrition workshops for clients.
Weekdays and some evenings, 2-3 hour sessions
Minimum 6 hours per month
Food Safe certification required, cooking or nutrition background helpful
